In these chapters, Rousseau introduces three new, weird, dangerous institutions to\u2026 &#8220;help.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We&#8217;ve got the tribunate, which is a dictatorship waiting to happen, the dictatorship, which is <em>actually<\/em> a dictatorship, and the censorship, which is supposed to passive-aggressively shame and re-educate groups that get out of line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">As usual, Rousseau introduces nothing that would temper or eliminate the awful incentives such groups observe.
