About The Marginal Non-hermit

Howdy, I’m the Marginal Non-hermit, and this is my website. You may ask: What does Marginal Non-hermit refer to? Well, it has two bits of meaning. First, literally. I’m right on the margin of being a hermit. Seriously, if I didn’t have to leave the house to work and buy stuff, I’d rarely leave. Second, I am interested in economic analysis, especially the less obvious effects of policies and their effects on people and organizations on the margins.

I find myself frustrated watching and listening to commentary about current events and economics with minimal thought and minimal certainty. Every time someone says “In my opinion,” I cringe a little, and those channels that basically go on websites and read them to you are fun to watch for about ten seconds.

So I’m going to work on essays, rants, and videos that look at various topics and attempt to go a layer deeper or examine a non-obvious implication.

So, to borrow a term from Frederic Bastiat, come along with me as I examine “the unseen.”

About Me

The world of the state is constantly warped by those who support it. As an anarchist, I strive to see past the illusions and distortions the state and its propaganda organs produce.
