Arch is kind of fun to listen to sometimes. I don’t play a lot of tabletop games, so I learn quite a bit about sorry state of the industry from him. Even his takes on other topics are usually pretty even-handed and intelligent. He also scores really low on the authoritarianism scale.
This recent video from him was really good up until the end: he talks about the problems caused by “diversity” policy, but his conclusion is that more “regulation” is needed, rather than scrapping the policy and stopping State meddling.
So I thought I’d talk a bit about the economic reasons why getting rid of requirements and barriers to entry is better, even from Arch’s perspective, than banning companies from choosing to waste time on discriminatory programs.
