Murray Rothbard, a great economic thinker of the 20th century and a strong philosophical influence on anarchism, was born on March 2nd, 1926. Here’s a short video where I talk a little bit about his influence and legacy.
Labeling seems like it’s being used as a weapon by the left. Any and every media personality or collective that isn’t hard left gets called “far right.” Why shouldn’t the right and libertarians call them out?
On Ludwig von Mises
Ludwig von Mises is one of my great personal heroes and one of the greatest thinkers of the 20th century. He was an excellent writer, and his tone is something I wish I could emulate. He is at once elevated, persuasive, and readable. Here’s a few minutes of me talking about Mises and reading a few choice quotes from his book Socialism.

As an anarchist, it is important to separate the things that the state proscribes from things that are actually aggression. In fact, the modern state makes so many victimless acts illegal that to fail to make the distinction is an easy way to be mired in cognitive dissonance. Here’s a short discussion on the topic.
The Gulag Archipelago is one of the most important anti-authoritarian books you will ever read. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn is not only an excellent writer, he is a witness to one of the great horrors of the 20th century.
